Civilization crumbles during an economic upheaval. Pestilence and war drive people from the cities. Mary and Joe manage to survive in the sand-dunes, desalinating sea water with a ramshackle still Joe has devised. They eat insects and any crustaceans they can scavenge. Love is a faded memory, like the comforts of their previous life. Then, a shady couple arrives, and secret truths are revealed. Mary finds herself at her wit’s end with only one way out.

AJAX

See the earliest of Sophocles' seven great tragedies taking place after the Iliad. The great warrior, Achilles, is slain in battle. Now Ajax is deemed the greatest Greek warrior of all and feels he should be given Achilles' armor. But, the kings, Agamemnon and Menelaus, award it to Odysseus instead. Ajax is furious and kills the spoils of war: cattle and herdsman! See what unfolds on the heels of his subsequent shame.
